Description:

Airbase by Paylocity is hiring a Test Engineer for its enterprise NetSuite and financial software ecosystems. Working with dedicated product squads, this role acts as a quality ambassador to instill an active testing mindset, improve delivery velocity, and ensure spend management systems satisfy user stories. The engineer will construct test plans from scratch, conduct exploratory testing, embed quality steps into iterative release windows, and evaluate technology developments across integrated finance platforms.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or a Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of professional software testing experience with deep knowledge of QA best practices in an agile development framework.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience building test scenarios and strategies from scratch without relying on an existing framework.
• Proven experience executing dedicated API testing and validation alongside validating consumer-facing web applications.
• Ability to deploy, monitor, and support software releases during fast-moving, iterative development cycles while maintaining change management records.
• Self-sufficiently perform routine testing work and conduct exploratory testing to surface edge cases and isolate complex infrastructure challenges.
• Direct structural familiarity testing within NetSuite ERP systems, Boomi integration layers, or Avalara tax compliance engines.
• Ability to sit for extended periods (typically 7-8 hours a day) and run multiple software applications concurrently.
